Surfing Linda Mar September 16, 2009

Had another nice surf with Emily today at Linda Mar. We got there right at low tide which is never good at Linda Mar, however, by the time we waxed our boards and suited up the waves were picking up a bit. Also there was only about a dozen other surfers out there which was awesome.
The first place I tried was pretty far north, and I was caught right in cross currents and only got one wave. Then I moved closer to the bathrooms a found a nice spot all by myself with a nice left break. I caught two small ones almost right away. This was one of those days where my best ride was on my stomach. I caught a nice shoulder / head high wave on the outside took a big drop and rode the wave to the left all the way to the beach. I’m still having issues standing up when I get on a good right or left. Maybe it’s time for a lesson.
Surfline surf report for this afternoon –Leftover WNW/SW swell mix prevails this afternoon. Better exposures are in the waist-chest-head high range, while top exposures pull in some plus sets at times. Conditions remain fairly bumpy and disorganized, with select spots seeing inconsistent workable corners.
